Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 amβ4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Oakland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Oakland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolute wonderful experience, the food was amazing. The biscuit egg sandwich came with the best homestyle potatoes Iβve ever had and an arugula salad with balsamic vinegar. The homemade chile was acidic, tangy, and spicy wonderfully complimenting the richness of the biscuit and vegan sausage. The ube latte was just the right amount of sweetness and was delicious. The cashier was attentive and extremely helpful with their recommendations. Will definitely be back in the future.

First time visiting this cute little cafΓ©, and I was pleasantly surprised. The rose cinnamon latte was unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The homemade biscuits were fresh, buttery, and the perfect complement to my drink. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. The only downside was that parking was a bit difficult to find, but the experience was well worth it. Iβll definitely be back!

Great indie cafe find. Operated by some nice folks from Turkey. They offer some unique coffee concoctions (got The Sandman Latte, super food chaga cocoa vanilla cinnamon with oatmilk). And yes, they have Ube Latte with the rootcrop sourced from the Philippines). The only problem was that we arrived at 330PM and they close at 4PM (they open at 7AM), but they were nice enough to allow us to order still and stay until 430PM.

We traveled to California from Montana and this is the best place we have eaten so far! We ended up checking out three times because we kept ordering more things. We ordered the avocado toast, the huevos rancheros, and the omelette. Along with a blackberry cream cheese danish, and an almond danish. We also got the beehive latte, the ginger snap latte and a London fog with some awesome coffee art. They were all incredible, the beehive latte has a wonderful kick but not too much. A pleasant warmth. The staff was so friendly. You will not be disappointed

Such a delightful and charming cafΓ©! Worth the long drive for a bite to eat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the vibes were pure comfort. I went with my friend, and we shared our food like old companions on a cozy little adventure. I felt like Bilbo Baggins enjoying a hearty meal in my Hobbit hole, watching the rain sprinkle softly outside as people hurried past on their way to work or the nearby hospital. The only thing missing was my pipe! The service was absolutely phenomenal. The owners went above and beyond with their hospitality, and Iβm still touched by how kind and genuine they were. I truly hope they know how much their efforts were appreciated, and they have my sincerest prayers that their cafΓ© continues to flourish and bring warmth to those who wander through their doors.
